An elite American intelligence officer, aided by a top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of the country. In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA's most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in. Terrible. The Trailer is better then the movie. The script, acting and action are all bad - surprisingly so. Set up for a sequel although who will go to watch it after seeing this is beyond me. I really wanted to love this movie because of the actors in it. But it was an exciting, confusing, mess. When you have to look up a plot synopsis AFTER the movie to help figure out what I am not sure I saw, that's a confusing plot. The movie is suspenseful with lots of action, but you're often not sure why things are happening. Also, when you have a martial arts superstar in a fight scene, using closeups and quick cuts dilutes the beauty of his artistry as a fighter. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel because the premise has potential, but this could have been a much better movie. It’s both a bit confusing and a bit confused. Fortunately, it’s also loaded with some of the crunchiest action scenes since the John Wick movies thanks to Indonesian martial-arts maestro Iko Uwais.
